Preserving Our Village

The main aim of LVRA is to preserve and protect our community, encouraging our residents to connect with each other.

One of our roles is to represent the Lovedean residents on all current and future development proposals in the village and surrounding area and to prevail and encourage the protection of the rural setting and character of Lovedean.

LVRA collates comments from local residents and puts together a presentation for the planning committee.

Since the last newsletter in early 2019, there have been some ongoing housing developments in the village. The two main sites are opposite Lovedean Village Hall and the development on the site of the previously-derelict house and adjacent empty Victorian cottages fronting Lovedean Lane.

Comments to East Hants District Council planners from Lovedean residents and the LVRA were material in stopping over-development of both sites.
